Sarah Beeching : Executive Director

Executive Director

Sarah is an economist, strategist, and operational policy maker. She is passionate about tackling injustice and poverty through creating and delivering effective campaign and advocacy strategies. Sarah has led on many international policy negotiations including delivering two replenishment campaigns for the Global Partnership for Education, leading the G8 Nutrition for Growth Summit and the development negotiations for the G20 London Summit.  She has generated strategies for many campaigns such as Sanitation and Water for All, Every Woman, Every Child, GAVI replenishment, G8 and peace negotiations.  Her portfolio includes work on civil society mobilisation (Project Everyone and the World’s Largest Lesson); private sector engagement, including innovative finance solutions for health, education, water and sanitation.    She has worked for DFID, Cabinet Office, World Bank, Global Partnership for Education, and host of UN agencies, foundations, CSOs and private sector organisations. Sarah has worked in over 40 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and CEE.

Katy Cronin : Senior Communications Associate

Katy Cronin works at the forefront of international strategic communications and has sound knowledge of international relations, global development, human rights and conflict issues.  She has extensive experience working with high profile individuals from the non-profit, public and private sectors including members of The Elders including Desmond Tutu, Jimmy Carter, Graca Machel, Mary Robinson, Kofi Annan and Ela Bhatt. Katy has also led media and communications in Europe for the ONE campaign, co-founded by Bono and Bob Geldof and International Crisis Group. An astute strategist and polished writer, Katy helps NGOs, international institutions and individuals to develop effective organizational messages, narratives and communications strategies. Based in London with a global outlook, she has lived and worked in many countries and has implemented communications plans reaching audiences in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. 

Mary O’Hagan : Executive Producer

Mary is a creative powerhouse with 25 years of successful theatrical and conference production.  Mary has produced events all over the world from a McLaren racing car launch with Jamiroquai Spice Girls and countless stars to 4000 live London audience and MTV viewers to an exhibition at the World Education Forum in Korea. Mary is always finding more creative or interesting ways to do things. She is committed and meticulous in delivering the best result, on time, on budget and with a smile. Her moto is ‘nothing it too much trouble’. Mary is seen by her clients as their creative partner.  She gets to know them and their businesses and helps them to develop, quite simply, the most effective methodology for getting the message across. Current clients include: Bupa, Credit Agricole, Gartner, Juniper Networks, Wanzl, Logicalis, Project Everyone, Conde Nast and Barceló hotels. Mary has worked in the US, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean

Joanna Ayre : Communications and Social Media Associate

Jo is a communications specialist with a passion for international development. After leaving university with a first-class degree in Public Relations, she travelled to the island nation of St. Kitts-Nevis to create and implement the government’s social media strategy. Since her return she has worked on a number of communications projects across a variety of sectors; including Glass Digital Media, Social Media Leadership Forum and Out of the Box. Jo also donates some of her time as a Social Media Strategist to the volunteer-run communications agency Bright One. She loves to travel and is a keen photographer.

Kate Adams : Policy Associate

Policy Associate

Kate is a creative International Development professional with a proven track record in designing and delivering policy, advocacy and campaigning successes at the national and international level, proposing effective solutions relating to complex issues and environments. Kate has both Government and NGO experience and thematic expertise in neglected crises, conflict, education, sexual violence and children and youth. Kate spent five years at War Child UK building a dedicated advocacy department with global reach as their Head of Policy, Advocacy and Campaigning; which included being sought out for a contractual secondment to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as a Policy and Communications Advisor for the former Foreign Secretary’s Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict. Kate has also spent time at UKMIS and worked at DFID, holding positions across varied thematic areas from global education and the Girl Hub, to policy and support for the UK's response to the Pakistan floods.
